Silen Audio announces our first official shipped game, less than eight months into our official launch.
In early 2021, Beautiful Bee, a great indie game studio in Poland, contacted Silen Audio to help finish their game: Strings Theory.
Strings Theory is a mind bending puzzle game set in a subatomic plane featuring futuristic graphics and cute science based characters.
Strings Theory already had some music and sound design, but needed us to help finish the game up with them. We provided custom, layered music, as well as custom sound design assets.
Our number one priority was to match the existing sound palette. There was an established musical and sound design tone to the game when we came in, so we worked hard to support it. We used a variety of hardware and software synthesizers throughout. Hardware synthesizers included the OB-6, the Moog Slim Phatty, and many Eurorack Modules. Software synthesizers included Vital, the Sonic Projects OP-X, and Serum by X-fer Records.
Beautiful Bee was a great partner to work with, they provided thoughtful notes on our music and sound design, but were generally happy with our initial versions that we submitted.
Most of the music and sound design was handled by our founder, Adam Fligsten.
Strings Theory is out today on Steam for PC and Mac, with other platforms including XBox, Switch, and Playstation shipping early 2022.
